Healthy Habits in January Wk2

Week 2: January 8 to 14

I am feeling good about what we ate last week and have plans for 7 more healthy dinners. I lost 3.6 pounds the first week of our January healthy eating strategy. I had sweet cravings on days 3 & 4 however was able to overcome them by eating an orange. Other than short lived sweet craving I have not felt deprived or hungry. The one challenge has been having to use the restroom frequently to go #1. I am not used to drinking so much water, so it keeps going through me. I drank a little less water this weekend as I needed to catch up on sleep. I have been waking up every couple hours to relieve my bladder. I will resume trying to intake at least 8 cups of water each day this week. People keep telling me that my body will eventually get used to the water intake and the restroom trips will decrease.

I only plan out dinners and eat what is available or convenient for breakfast and lunch or as brunch. I work from the office Monday-Wednesday and from home Thursday and Friday so the first three days of breakfast/lunch are packed and heated, however the last two days can be made fresh.

January 8

  • Black tea with honey
  • 2 Cups homemade yogurt, granola, raspberries and a drizzle of honey
  • 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
  • Carrots and green pepper with dill dip
  • Homemade beef jerky
  • Mexican Chicken soup leftovers from the freezer
  • 1/2 of an ICEE Water

January 9

  • Black tea with a packet of stevia
  • 2 Cups homemade yogurt, granola, raspberries and a drizzle of honey
  • 4 pieces homemade beef jerky
  • 1/4 Cup peanuts
  • A bowel of red grapes
  • 3 Slices Jalapeno cheese sausage
  • Taco Salad (ground beef, taco seasoning, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, sour cream and taco sauce
  • 1/2 of an ICEE Water

January 10

  • Black tea with a packet of stevia
  • 1 Cups homemade yogurt, granola, raspberries and a drizzle of honey
  • 2 1/2 Cups water w/ a squirt of Mio
  • A bag of carrots and green peppers w/ dill dip
  • A bag of red grapes
  • 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
  • Pulled pork and coleslaw

January 11

  • I caught a stomach bug early this morning. I was not able to eat much as nothing would stay in
  • Saltine crackers with butter
  • Chicken Bouillion in water
  • Macaroni noodles w/ butter, parmesan cheese and a little cheddar cheese

January 12

  • Black tea with honey
  • 2 Cups homemade yogurt, granola, raspberries and a drizzle of honey
  • 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
  • Roast beef with boiled potatoes and buttered corn
  • 1 Root beer float cookie

January 13

  • Black tea with a packet of stevia
  • 3 Scrambled eggs with parmesan and cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 Honey crisp apple
  • 2 1/2 Cups water with lemon
  • Roast beef with roasted potatoes and coleslaw
  • 1 ICEE water

January 14

  • Black tea with a packet of stevia
  • 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
  • 1/2 Cups quick oats, 1/2 Cup whole milk, 1/2 Cup blueberries (260 calories)
  • 3 Cups water with lemon
  • 3 Scrambled eggs with parmesan and cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 honey crisp apple
  • Cheddar cheese potato soup w/ ham (600 calories)
  • Fruit strip (50 calories)

DOWN Another 3.6 pounds for a total 7.2 pounds
