Week 4: January 22 to 27
I accomplished my goal of losing 2 pounds last week, I am down 9.2 after three weeks of a healthier 2024. I did not drink 5 cups of water last week nor did we start exercising however I am still happy with the weight loss. I am finding myself hungrier and craving sweet food after dinner, hence the fruit strips. Looking back at the week compared to the first two weeks, we definitely did not eat as healthy or natural as we had in the previous weeks. The dinner’s planned for this week look more like week 3. When we reevaluate our plan for the next four weeks (weeks 5 to 8), we will take a look at what we could change to do better.
My goals this week are two lose 0.8 pounds to aim for 10 total for the first four weeks. Start doing physical activity/exercise at least 3 days this week. Drink at least 5 cups of water daily.
January 22
- 1 Cup coffee with French vanilla syrup and whole milk
- Ate 1/2: 1/2 Cups quick oats, 3/4 Cup whole milk, 1/2 Cup mixed berries
- 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
- 3 Carrots w/ dill dip
- 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
- Black bean burrito bowl (Black beans, brown rice, avocado, roasted corn, tomatoes, jalapenos, cheddar cheese sour cream and taco sauce)
- ICEE Water
- 20-minute walk with Mack dog
January 23
- 1 Cup coffee with French vanilla syrup and whole milk
- 1/2 Cups quick oats, 3/4 Cup whole milk, 1/2 Cup mixed berries
- 2 1/2 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
- 2 Tacos at Papa’s house to celebrate Corbin’s birthday
- Fruit strip
January 24
- 1 Cup coffee with French vanilla syrup and whole milk
- 4 Cups water with a squirt of Mio
- A few mixed nuts
- Grilled Sirloin steak w/ A1 steak sauce
- ICEE Water
- 2 Fruit strips
January 25
- 1 Cup coffee with French vanilla syrup and whole milk
- A handful of mixed nuts
- 4 strips of homemade hamburger beef jerky
- 2 12-ounce cups of Whole milk
- Ham, potatoes w/ cabbage, beef stock, better than Bouillion
- 1 Fruit strip
January 26
- 1 Cup coffee with French vanilla syrup and whole milk
- A handful of grapes and 2 homemade hamburger beef jerky sticks
- Homemade coleslaw (Cabbage, carrots, corn, peas, dill for seasoning)
- 2 1/2 Cups water
- Left over brown rice, w/ ham and peas
- 2 1/2 Cups water
- 2 Fruit strips
January 27
- Black tea with a packet of stevia
- 2 pickle roll ups, 4 deviled eggs
- 1 Cup coffee with French vanilla syrup and whole milk
- Homemade coleslaw (Cabbage, carrots, corn, peas, dill for seasoning)
- 12 oz lemon water
- Roasted chicken w/ side salads
- 2 fruit strips
Week 4 was also a success. I lost 1 pound for a total of 10.2 pounds lost for the first four weeks of our healthy eating plan. We are having a reward day on Sunday to celebrate the success. I will likely gain back a pound or two to start next week. 🙂
